Anna-Lou Weatherley: women's fiction author

Home / About
I was born in Southampton, Hampshire (my dad was in the Royal Navy and his ship was based there) but my family are all from London. It’s where I grew up and still live today, though I’ve also resided in Ibiza, Spain, and Amsterdam over the years – I dream of living in Las Vegas – one day I hope!

I began my career as a dancer but a moped accident in Ibiza (I like to call it my ‘disco’ injury) put paid to those aspirations and so I went back to my first and one true love – writing! I re-trained as a journalist, specialising mainly in women’s interest and celebrity. I am the former editor and acting editor of J-17 and Smash Hits respectively and have written for magazines including New WomanCompanyB, Glamour, Marie ClaireGrazia and More (where I was their no nonsense advice columnist), as well as Reveal and Closer.  I have also contributed to a few men’s titles such as Arena, FHM, Loaded and NME – loads of fun!

I have written two young adult novels Ibiza Summer and The Wrong Boy (Piccadilly Press) as well as contributing to anthologies, Sunlounger and The Perfect Escape.

My debut adult novel, Chelsea Wives (Avon) was published in 2012 and my latest, Wicked Wives (Avon) came out in July 2013.

I am currently writing my third adult title.
